Finally getting my latter case for my pixel 4a today can't wait to try it out

Working on buying only my 3rd smartphone. Apple 4, currently Kyocera Duraforce that's pretty old. I really like the 4a from all I've read and you;ve helped cement my choice. However, I do a lot of off-road, SxS, hunting, kayak fishing, work on junk in my shop with a concrete floor (I've dropped the Duraforce several times) and was looking for a rugged smartphone (water and drop proof). I want to somewhat prioritize picture taking tho'. What are the good rugged phones with a good camera. Or, is there a decent case for the Pixel 4a for water and drop resistance? Thanks!

I have a 4a. Been using it for 8 months. Great phone EXCEPT FOR 1 THING...you cannot clear the internal storage of IMAGES. You can delete videos/photos, but they are still there as "images". Google support says "to clear internal storage" you must do a factory reset. I've tried several other things (I mean several), and the factory reset is the only one that clears the internal storage.

I have many phones including iPhone 12 but the pixel 5 seems enough

Hi Lewis, I need some advice, I've been looking at getting a Google pixel phone for a long time, but never have, as the last time I got a Samsung S9+ after watching your review, but its starting to play up & pass me off, would this Pixel 4a be a good replacement, as I'm not too bothered about the fancy settings & extras, just a good camera? Just wanted to write that the AUX is a must for me! Always had iphone since the 3gs and this is what made me switch from IOS. Because the latest "premium" phones without Headphone jacks just dont cut it anymore. Bluetooth headphones can never reach the same audioquality as a wired and the dongle that you get with your iphone never holds up more than a couple of months of use. In other word making me need to purchase 3-4 a year.

I'm upgrading to the 4a from a nexus 5x as part of the google fi network. They're offering the 4s for $15/mo with protection, 3 years of updates and the option to upgrade after 2 years, and you can keep the 4s. The sims automatically connect to whatever network is available even if international, the data plan is set to whatever your real world usage is, and uses wifi calling wherever that's available but a network is not. for anyone as value oriented as myself, this really seems like a no brainer. If it's equality as reliable as my clunker nexus 5 then I can continue to ignore the entirety of the cell phone industry for another half decade while enjoying all of its fruits. Truly an 'it just works' device.

I did the $9 a month subscription to purchase the pixel 4 a. I was very excited just got it today and I got a defective unit the volume up button did not work. So now I have to wait to send it back and wait for them to send me another one

i own google pixel 4a its crapola of a phone i charged battery fron 15 % twice in same day and battery died b4 10pm does bpt last and lags alot and cheapn feeling plus the phone camera just terrible ..sucks im stuck with it till contract up..ill never go with google phones ever again ..should of stayed with huawei that was great phone

Good deal, I got it for 327 with tax and all a while back and deal is still going on at best buy, may only be for at certain locations tho. The case from description ain't bad either, it'll help if you drop it but for more protection I'd get a better case with a screen protector but I'm not big on cases so it's fine and feels nice.
